In Hokutoryu Ju-Jutsu, practitioners wear a white training uniform (gi) without large manufacturer logos or markings. A Hokutoryu embroidery on the back is allowed. The uniform includes the style’s chest badge and the club’s sleeve badge, both sewn on the left side.

Black belts in Hokutoryu Ju-Jutsu may wear black training pants with a white jacket. Practitioners who hold the titles of Hanshi or Shihan may, in addition to the standard white uniform, wear a blue jacket with white pants. The Soke may also wear an all-black uniform, in addition to the options mentioned above.

The belt worn with the gi must correspond to the practitioner’s rank. A t-shirt is not worn under the gi (with the exception of girls and women, who may wear a white t-shirt underneath).
